Bryce W. was a last minute addition to the Warrior contingent in the Pole Vault.    He made Regionals as a freshman – an impressive feat.

As for the Regional meet, Lubbock proved to be a hostile environment complete with high winds, dust, and heat.  Unfortunately, no state qualifiers on this particular trip but the experience gained should provide motivation for next year’s track season and, for some, Cross Country in the fall.

FULL RESULTS

The Region I Championships will be held at the Texas Tech Track in Lubbock,TX on Friday, 4/27 and Saturday, 4/28.  A number of Warriors are well positioned for a berth in the State meet but the level of competition will require perfect technique, health, and a little luck to meet that expectation.  Good Luck!

• 3200M – Olivia O.
• 800M & 1600M – Madison M.
• 100M & 200M – Jasmine H.

In the last tune-up before Regionals, the Warriors turned in some stellar performances in a very windy night of racing.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Cameron V.  set a new meet record in the 3200M – 1sr place
• Olivia O placed 2nd in the 3200M
• Josh H. 3rd in 400M – ELITE designation
• The 4×400 placed 3rd in a very tough field.

The Lancaster Meet will feature athletes that qualified for the Regional Meet.  Best of all, the list of entrants is available!

Field Events start at 4:30 and the 3200M kicks off the running events at 6:00.

The main highlight is the District Championship claimed by the boys.  It was a balanced effort with points coming from the sprints, field events, long distance, and relays – including an impressive 4×400 to seal it at the end.

A number of athletes merited “ELITE” performance status

Additional information will be posted as the Regional Meet draws closer.
